Q: When we rent this house, how do we know where the house is and how to get there? A: Upon booking your stay and receipt of payment in full, you will be sent directions to the house along with other information.
Q: How do we get access to the house? A: Upon receipt of payment in full, including the security deposit, we will give you a time-sensitive code for the electronic lock on the front door. This code will only work during your scheduled stay.
Q. We're not familiar with the area. How do we find our way around? A. Along with the directions to the house, we include a map with a shortcut to the Disney parks. The Emerald Island Clubhouse concierge is also happy to help you with directions, dinner reservations and general information. There is also an area attraction brochure rack at the clubhouse.
Q: $175 (low season) per night seems too good to be true for a 5 bedroom house 2 miles from Disney that sleeps 12 people. What's the catch?A: There is no catch. This is our professionally-maintained vacation home that we are renting-out in order to help cover our expenses. There are no clubs to join, no tours to take and it's not a timeshare.
Q: Why are there different prices for different "seasons"? A: Mid and high season prices are actually the normal prices. The low season is discounted due to lower demand. Below is a chart which diagrams Disney park attendance during a typical year: Q: We like to spend a couple of days at home during our vacation to swim and relax. Is the sun on your pool all day? A: Yes. Our pool faces south which means the sun is on the pool area all day long, even in the winter.
Q. What happens if we have any problems or questions during our stay? A. Our local management company is on-call 24/7 to take care of you. Their contact information will be in your welcome kit.
Q. I don't know how to care for a pool. Is that a problem? A. The management company takes care of chemical-balancing and cleaning the pool and spa weekly so relax and enjoy your swim.
Q. The house is in Florida. Why do I need pool heat? A. October through May sees low temperatures at night in central Florida and without a heater, the water can get very cold overnight. Without pool heat, Florida pools are basically unusable October through May. Heat is not necessary during the months of April through September.
Q. I'm concerned about cleanliness. Is the house cleaned professionally? A. Yes. The house is cleaned prior to your check-in by licensed cleaning professionals. The house is licensed by the State of Florida hotel and restaurant commission which requires strict safety and cleanliness guidelines.
Q. I need to check my email and have internet access on vacation. What are my options? A. The house has wireless broadband high-speed internet access with a connected PC for your use. There is also a cyber cafe with WiFi at the clubhouse.

Besides watching TV, browsing the web, playing games on PlayStation and swimming in the private pool & spa, the Emerald Island clubhouse has a community pool & spa, basketball and tennis courts, a sand volleyball lot, a video game arcade, a fitness room and sauna as well as a tiki bar.
